(98.1) not happy with the 360? it's the only next-gen console with a boat load of games comming out for it. The Wii is cute but weak and the PS3 has no games comming out for it, what's not to like, it's the best console for gaming for years to come.

PS3 will never sell like PS2 and with no price drops in sight Sony's in trouble and you know it. $80 dollar games WTF all Sony's PS3 games better look like Halo 3.
People are waiting to see if Sony can deliver on what they say, their not just blindly waiting fo the PS3 for no reason. A lot of people are suckers for the frase "the best" it's just not the PS3 their waiting for it's not having the "the best" people are most worried about.
By my logic PS3 is twice as much as the PS2 and the dev's have MS's back so in reality 360 has the set up PS2 had when it blew up.
PS3's will be sold out, pre orders will be in effect for months after PS3 launches, Killer APP's From MS will turn peoples heads after they inform themselvs on how they will not be missing anything because 90% of the games will be on both. By then people will know whats up as most the people on these forums and they will know MS has better exclusives.
Simple!: People liked the PS1 so naturaly when PS2 came out it was the next best thing. It was a trusted proven console. Not even in the same ball park as a bran new nameless unproven console with a 6 1/2 year disavantage.
PS3 will be sold out after launch; 360 and all it's Killer APP's will hurt Sony.
I agree #136 only an idiot would be comparing Console's when one of them is on the high end of the maket.
Sony made their money off the 100 million shipped but the base is not 100million strong dumbies. 100 million people don't have PS2's a large part of that number is made up of units the retailers have and unints that broke and the fans that bought 2-3 PS2's for whatever reason maybe they liked the thin ps2.

PS2 shipped 100million not sold, i seen a study that says Sony sold between 50-60 million and the rest of the PS2's are either the ones that broke or ones waiting someware to be sold for $100.
I agree you have Sony following in the foot steps of a new console. Sony knows MS has the vision for the future, Sony knows if they don't keep their console simular to the 360 it will fail.

Will the average game consumer buy? Only time will tell and I'm sure industry analysts will debate the point to death. But I'll give you my 2 cents worth. At $499 average gamers and families will likely purchase Sony's new system. Microsoft's Xbox 360 retails for $399 and $299 for the Xbox 360 Core system. I can see people spending another $100 for Sony's "newer" system. At $500 or 600, I'm not so sure. You can buy/build a decent computer for that price. Sony can argue all they want...
